EVGA Nvidia GTX 980 Screen Tearing

Hello, I recently upgraded to a GTX 980 from a 760, and since then I seem to be getting a lot more screen tearing in games/software and youtube videos even, its most noticeable when im using Sony Vegas in the preview window. I am clueless on where to even begin on fixing this issue so im hoping someone here maybe has some tips and tricks for me to try

here are my system specs
CPU: AMD FX-8350 x8 Core 4.00 GHz
RAM: 16gb
OS: Windows 7 64bit
GPU: EVGA 04G-P4-2983-KR GeForce GTX 980
PSU: XFX 750W
Main Monitor: Acer G235HAbd 23'' 5ms 1920x1080 WideScreen LCD monitor 300 cd/m2 1000:1
Second Monitor: HP W2207 22-inch Widescreen Flat Panel LCD Monitor

On games there should be a setting called VSYNC, which limits the fps to reduce or eliminate screen tearing.
