Good evening,

I've just received my new system with an EVGA RTX 2070 Black that I would like to OC. I've come across this piece of software with it's automatic OC facility but I'm a little lost.

What must I do exactly? Just hit scan and then apply when it's finished? Should I set the fans to automatic?

Any help would be appreciated,

Thank you.

Solution
Use msi afterburner to slowly increase core and mem clocks while simultaneously stressing the gpu and checking for stablility and safe temps. Auto overclocking never works as well as manual oc.

Nope, never use the scan tool.
It's used to find the maximum clock that your GPU can deliver

My recommendation is just trying to play some games first and check on your fps, 0.1% and 1% lows first before doing any overclock so you'll know the baseline for your particular card.

Then you can try to increase the power limit and power target of your GPU in the PrecisionX, and maybe adding another 100 on the core and 500 on the memory should be just fine.

Then you can start from there and just continues to add more clocks until your game crashes or artifacts.
