Ok so i made a thread asking if i could sli 970s on a evga supernova 750b psu. My microcenter said it was a great psu (back when i knew nothing about computer hardware). So i know that i can sli with headroom and this unit has not given me any issues but i know its reviews are not very good and its near the bottom of toms tier list. I have had this unit for about a year. Should i upgrade to something on the top tier list? it makes me nervous....

The EVGA B2 , G2 , P2 . and soon to be T2 are all great units.

There are also 3 SEASONIC EVGA releases below.

The rest are FSP amd HEC releases and not very good.

If you have a SuperNOVA B2, then yes you can Dual SLI 970s.

If you have a SuperNOVA B, you MAY be able to SLI with a Molex to PCIe, or 8 Pin PCIe to 2x6Pin PCIe. Depending upon the peak power draw of your card. It would be safer to not risk a $300 card and trade up to a new PSU.

generally a good quality psu at 750w can certainly handle SLI 970's but it is suggested to run a bit more and most people will claim 850w is good.

out of evga power supplies the only ones i personally trust are the "g2" units which are made by superflower.

in short: if it were me i would upgrade but its your choice.
