[SOLVED] EVGA SC 1070TI does not allow psu to turn on if 8pin is plugged in.

I bought this card secondhand. And I have tools to replace components. I am wondering if anyone here knows what the problem is so I can solve this a little faster

Are you sure you have the correct 8 pin cable for your PSU and that its in the correct connector on the psu? PSU cables are not universal and can be different across models from the same manufacturer.

Yes there are 8-pin connectors with different wiring diagram.

You should use the specially made PSU to GPU cable.
