EVGA SuperNOVA 1300 G2 - Good for new build?

I've decided that my Dell Precision T5810 (E5-1620) requires me to make too many compromises, therefore I'm building a new machine.

Is there any issue with a EVGA 1300 watt power supply that I haven't anticipated? My current video card is a MSI GTX 970 Gamer card. Within the next three month, I'll be upgrading to a GTX 980 Ti, so that I can upgrade to 1440p gaming.

I currently have dual Dell Ultra Sharp 1920 X 1200 monitors and will upgrade to dual 1440p monitors, but I'll probably only game on one of of them.

I have four Samsung 850 250 GB in RAID 0
I have one Intel 750 400 GB

Processor will be an Intel I7 for sure. Probably a 4790K, maybe six core, but doubtful that I will.

* Reason that this is time sensitive is that today or tomorrow is the last day of a $35 rebate card that NewEgg is offering on these, plus a 10% promo code. I know that 1300 watts is probably overkill, but I don't want to stress over not having enough power in the future. I can't imagine doing more than two way SLI, and I may one day four way RAID Intel 750 PCIe SSDs, but I don't think they use much power.

Solution
1300w is extremely over kill for 1 gtx 970. the 970 only take 165w. 850w will handle 2 gtx 970s no problem. they have the same promo on the 850w. dont waste your money. put it into other hardware. get the 850w. its a good psu.

N3rdR4ge, do you think the 850 is enough for two 980 Ti's in SLI plus any processor that I get? I only thought about getting the 1300 watt in case I end up getting ATI cards in SLI in the future. I imagine that they might have a TDP greater than 250 watts per card.

A 850watts will do the job. But
I have a 980ti on Evga nex650, with a 5820k. I can not overclock both due fan slow down. I did run dual 970s om same psu
I have now EVGAs 1300 G2 here read to fit. and overkill is never over kill. its planning for the future.
Still with being under powered i manage to get 3rd highest tested on Heaven bench for single Gpu set ups with Gigabytes G1 Gaming 980 ti. If you get the 1300 G2 at a good price buy. atleast it has great performance at 200watts 92% effic as well as at 1000watts

You know something funny? I purchased the EVGA 1300 G2 first then I bought the EVGA GTX 980 Ti. The GPU came with a 50% off coupon for power supplies! It was such a good deal, that I ended up purchasing a second 1300 G2 for the heck of it.

Very happy.
Have fitted new Evga 1300G2. Where I was totally stable at 4.4ghz with i7 5820k
I now can clock at 4.7ghz with modest over volt 1.267v. Raised Passmark test from 5245. To what it is showing now
If I plan to take it higher what am pretty sure it will do. Will need extra cooling as on Intel extreme streestest temps reached max of 77c, staying around 68c most of test
Happy days
