Hello people! i have now been running nvidia over the last couple of years but im thinking about switching over to EVGA. Now i don't know anything about EVGA so i want to know your opinions :)

You never bought an Nvidia branded card. Nvidia makes the actual GPU and 3rd party companies like EVGA, Asus, Gigabyte etc. manufacture the rest of the card. Nvidia does not sell cards to the public.

EVGA cards are very good and they are known for their warranties and support.

^ this.

Let's say you have an Nvidia GTX 670. You don't actually have an Nvidia GTX 670, rather you have one company's version of Nvidia's GTX 670. Different companies make different versions of each graphics card, and these will all be slightly similar. EVGA is one such company. Hell, your current card might even be an EVGA!
If you search for a GTX 670 on Amazon, you'll find yourself here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=GTX%20670
You can see there lots of different graphics cards. They're all different company's takes on the base GTX 670 designed by Nvidia.

If you want to know what card you're using - take the side panel off your PC and look at the graphics card (it's the big card with the fan on it plugged into the side of the motherboard). It should have a label or two somewhere indicating who made it.

Case in point: I bought my PC with an "AMD Radeon HD 6850" inside it. It's registered as that when I look at my system specs. But if I look inside my PC at the card itself, I can see a big PowerColor sticker on it; the card is PowerColor's tweaked version of AMD's original 6850 design. The same goes for all cards, both Nvidia and AMD.

The original versions - they're called reference cards - are not usually sold.

Really? soo then who makes these particular models?

Why don't you check the date on this thread and then the date Nvidia launched the Founder Edition cards. 😉
