Hi guys, I currently have a Samsung Evo 840 250GB ssd, that is my Boot drive. However I cant really hold more than 1 or 2 bigger games on it before its pretty much full.
I have to put games on my Firecuda, and speed on map load is a clear difference like in Ark and Rainbow Siege
I dont do much file transferring, 95% gaming 5% move watching/web surfing
I am rocking a I7 9700k with a Z390UD mobo and a GTX 1080ti and 16gb ram.
The 860 is $85 and looking nice, but the 970 has alot of hype and is $100.
My goal for the drive is my OS and like 4 bigger pc games. I can still use my sata drive for single player games where load time isnt an issue.
Here are the 2 I am looking at
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0781Z7Y3S 860
and
https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-970-EVO-500GB-MZ-V7E500BW/dp/B07BN4NJ2J 970
I am also a little concerned that the nvme wont fit under the h100i gtx aio cooler since it seems to be slightly over the m2 slot on my mobo.
Of these 2 drives, which do you think is best for my needs? Also Not looking into those cheaper silicon power off brands, they have a high failure rate and samsung, pricey, has never failed me. so I like to stick to what has worked.
