Evo 960 500gb preorder not fulfilled at newegg

So after eight and half years, I've scraped together enough money to put together a new build. I have all of the parts except a boot drive. I got an e-mail this morning that even though I preordered the 960 evo 500gb, they don't have any and they have no idea when they will be able to fill my order. I took time off of work next week to put my build together.

Does anyone know where there are any to be had? I check samsung and they don't have any. Amazon has third party vendors selling them for $600...

I understand that you want it because on the spec sheet it says its super fast but in real world you would not notice any difference vs lets say a 850 evo and you would save a ton of $.

Called to see if I missed it and they said they had them in stock still and that I wasn't on back order. I did go back and check after I ordered and it said none available, but going back another time, it told me four available. Probably not accurate, but hopefully I'll get one. Won't be here until 21-26, so I'm still SOL for the days I have off next week to put it together, but...maybe I found a new store to order from instead of newegg now.
