Evo 970 causing BSOD

since I built my pc 6 months ago, I get random BSOD with different error codes, from DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION to UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION , CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED multiple times per day.

I tried different solutions for 6 months until I tried to remove my 970 evo (primary drive with windows 10) and replaced it with my laptop's HDD, and I haven't had any errors or even stutters for a week now. I had the latest drivers, bios. and the 970 is brand new, SMART test and samsung magician didn't report anything bad. Also tried both m.2 slots on my mobo with the same crashes.

Is this a drivers issue? or the ssd is faulty from the beginning? any help is appreciated guys.

ryzen 1600 (stock, no OC)
Hyper X fury 16GB (HX424C15FB2K2/16)
GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1060 Rev 2.0
Samsung Evo 970 
Seagate Barracuda
Seasonic M12II 620 EVO

on the ssd check if you have the latest os update install and that all your parts have there driver up to date .

Yes everything is up to date, I was thinking it may be some drivers conflicting with each other causing the crash, but it's just a guess

could you try the evo 970 in another system to see if it give same error i presume this is am 2 drive so did you have it set correctly in uefi bios .

I will try it in another rig in the near future, however is there anything special that needs to be done in bios ?

check your board user manual you might need to install driver for the m2 slot .

nothing but chipset drivers (already installed) . Raid drivers and I'm not using raid
