I have a samsung 320gb external harddrive,offlate its showing a peculiar problm of copying at a speed of not more than 600kb/sec,which was atleast 20mb/sec at normal....need suggetions...pls help!!!!!!!!

It sounds like it is nearing its capacity and the drive is seeking space to put new files. Try removing unneeded files or defragmenting it.
