I have created a table on excel for a set of values.

The problem i am facing is that i cannot seem to find out, using commands, how to make it so that:

when i add a value to a table, 'Table X', for example, 'Table Y' is also updated automatically to this number. This is simple enough, though I also wish to be able to delete the value from 'Table X' while keeping the value for 'Table Y' as it is. This would mean that the number defined in Table Y is not just == to the value in Table X, it was made by adding the value onto the current value in Table Y.

Any suggestions you mahy have will be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance!

I would ask this question on http://www.excelforum.com/ as they are likely to have an answer for you there. It is probably pretty easy to do

I could see one solution being to change the location where the data is recorded each time so X always remains the same as its never copied over. NO idea how to write the function but it would be how accounts people get to keep totals for monthly transactions, for instance.
