Question Excel files disappear to a user but not on the Server

Good Morning Everyone,

Need some help with this. We have an issue going on where if User A opens an excel document off the server, edits and saves, that it disappears. No other user can see it. However if we log into the server, it is shown there but it is locked so that the admin can not even open it or anything. Just this morning we had it happen three times. So we have to restore a back up copy and figure out what info is missing.

Has anyone ever seen this?

Who originated the spreadsheet? User X?

Take a close look at both User X's and User A's Excel's configuration settings.

And the disappearance may be the result of a corrupted or mis-directed "Save-to" default setting.
