Excellent deal on DDR4 RAM but only 2400MHz

I found a great deal to buy Corsair's Vengeance DDR4 RAM (2x8) at a price well below the standard ($50+ difference). However, the RAM is only 2400 MHz and I am planning on using this PC for streaming as well (part of a dual PC setup). How much of a difference does it make in either a Ryzen 2700x or 8700k build? Should I go for the 3000 variant instead and pay a good amount more?

A Ryzen system would greatly benefit from faster RAM, but just saying a 50 dollar difference does not give us an idea of the deal.

It's around €85 for a 2400MHz (CL16) whereas any other 2x8 RAM I'm seeing is at least €130.

PC Partpicker is unfortunately very inaccurate in Europe. It might say that Amazon.de has it for €106, but clicking the link to go to the vendor's page shows it's actually €144 (+shipping outside of Germany) or around €130 from a third party vendor.

Yeah, I just noticed it too. It's unfortunate how inaccurate it can be. Same goes for sites like CPU/GPU Benchmark which show ridiculously low prices for EU that you can't actually get anywhere.

Anyway, I think I should probably pass on the deal. It looks great but everything I'm reading says that 3000 MHz is really the standard you want to aim for with Ryzen especially but also the 8700k.
