Hi,
I have exchange 2000 server running on a domain
controller. I have learned from microsoft that this is a
big security threat. Microsoft says that we should never
have exchange server installed on a domain controller. Is
there a way i can run dcpromo and demote that server from
a domain controller and just make it a regular domain
member server. If i run dcpromo, will it have any effect
on my exchange server? if i do this, will i lose any e-
mail or address book?

Are there any links that i can look at and figure out the
best way to implement this change.

Please advise

Thank you

Replied in another group. Please don't multipost - if you need to post to
multiple groups, it's best to crosspost instead, by posting a single message
to a handful of relevant groups (separate the NG names with commas) so that
everyone can follow the thread. Thanks 🙂
