Hi folks. I'm new around and I'd like to ask a question about my computer's graphic card.

I've go a AMD RADEON R9-255, Windows 8-1 it's been working well for about a year.

Now i've got this weird thing happening.
- Sometimes I get "the application (video games) could not use graphic hardware", and the application freezes,
-Sometimes the PC freezes completely with a loud shifty buzz sound coming from the headphones, not the central unit and I need to ON/OFF my computer

My GPU is fully uptodate, same with my computer, as far as I can tell.
I've already tried uninstalling my AMD drivers using their own uninstall tool, and reinstalling from scratch. Still happening

Any ideas folk?

My first instinct is a driver issue. Sometimes having an up to date driver can be the cause of the issue. For whatever multitude of reasons a new driver may contain patches and updates that are incompatible with some systems and operating systems.

Try this: open device manager and find your graphics card. Right click on it and open the drivers tab. Locate the option to roll back to a previous driver version and click it. Let the driver roll back to a previous version and see what happens in your games. If it works then make sure you turn off automatic updates for your graphics card to prevent the card from updating to the bad driver. If that does not work then let us know what, if anything, changes.

Ok. I will try this now. I'll keep you posted.

Update : nope, it's still happening, but maybe something didn't work, because the last version on the driver was 'no driver', since I had just re-installedd it.

Is there a way to rollback to a previous version? If I go on their website I can only dowloaded the lateste version, can't find older version anywhere
