Question exe file not going into vr mode virtual desktop and quest 2 ?

Hi, I have been asked to test a vr game and cant seem to get it to go into vr mode in my headset using virtual desktop and quest 2, it is an exe file. It launches in desktop mode only, the double click on the touch controller menu button doesn't seem to make it work either. Does anyone know if this is possible at all please? Thanks

If the developer doesn't know, then I wouldn't trust anything I was given to test. That implies the developer is not very competent.
