Ok i just got win2k so don't go off on me for asking a stupid question or anything But here goes. With counter-strike, ati radeon users have to install a patch to prevent overflow error with the new version of counter. Well that worked fine with 98 se. I just formated and put in 2k. After i install the patch upgrade, when i click on counter, it gives me this error message. Your Half-Life \executable has been modified. Please check your system for viruses and then re-install counterstrike. Whats up with this? Thanks

First off: Are you using Half-Life, and then downloaded MOD version Counter-Strike, or did you buy CS retail ?

In any case, make sure you are not using any of the leaked patches floating around, and that it is the correct patches (CS retail update / HL + CS mod patch, and ATI fix. 2 types of those aswell, depending on what kind of product you're running. But it sounds to me like you accidently patched it with the leaked ones, they tend to give that error, but I'm not sure. Could also be that you patched CS mod version, with CS retail patch, they give that error aswell.
