I am trying to keep this character long enough to finnish the game. I
do have a question
on selling items. So far I haven't found any merchants that have more
than 800 gold available.
I noticed as you level up and get around there are items that are
considerably more that 800
gold in value. Are there any merchants that can make larger transactions?

Off the top of my head,

The blacksmith in Balmora can handle 1500. The weapons dealer can handle
1000. (his closet is worth a look if your sneak and lock picking are up
to it) Creeper in caldera has 5000. Mudcrab near Vivec has 10000. (or vice
versa, can't remember at the moment) The Khajit trader in Balmora takes
almost anything in trade, and always has weapons valued at 3000 and 9000
which you can use as currency for mudcrab or creeper.

Also try Mournhold's Great Bazaar, especially if you've accumulated plenty
of cash and just want to offload some weight but not just drop things on the
ground.

There are a couple of mods that give Creeper in Caldera more money, I'm
using one that gives him 1,000,000 gold each day for purchases. Granted
my character has no need for so much money at this stage of the game, so
every time she gets more than a million gold pieces, she drops the
million gold somewhere in the game for fun. ^_^ You should beable to
find one of the Creeper money mods at : http://mwsource.com/

That's my 2¢,

If you're looking to offload some weight, find a chest somewhere. I like to
use the area around the sleepng mat at Seyda Neen's Census and Excise
Warehouse. I've got quite a collection of expensive weapons, armor, and
soul gems there already.

Thanks for the responses. I need to make time to find mud crab
merchant somewhere between
Vivac and Suran. I did find the scamp up in Caldero who has up to 5000
a day. I have acquiired
some items that are more than that recently although I can't totally
complain about that problem :)

My current favourite place is th Hlaalo Manor in balmora. The owner is
dead downstairs but I dont mind him. and I keep the servant locked up in
her room 😛 the place has 4 crates, 6-8 barrels and some sacks. I also
use the 3 tables to set up nice dinners as one hobby of mine in MW is to
collect tableware. :) Currently on an all dwemer set. On the last
table I have two huge bowls filled with moonsugar placed in the bowls 1
by 1 and some scoooma pipes ans skooma bottles on the table too. 😀 Oh
and the shelf space makes for nice display of rare findings. Glass items
always look nice. It is a bit dark there at first but I have 100 paper
lanterns in there to light the place up. :) What can I say... I'm a nest
builder...

Another good-ish place is the Ald-Ruhn mage guild rooms. there's 2 empty
rooms there with a chest in each and a desk in the otherone. If you
clear out the guild storeroom you get a nice holding place in there too.
Ease travel through the mage guild and the Silt Strider is near too.
Again, it's a little dark in there so candles and lanters are a must 😛

If you'r on the PC I used to LOVE the Abandoned House mod that places a
house just outside Vivec. Fabulous place and the most fun mod I ever
had. I'm very carefull of what mods I use as I dont want tu mess up game
balance and I just love this mod. The house sometimes disapears from
sight so that you can only see the front door, but I dont mind. It's
inside what counts. Lots of lovely suprices... :)

ok enough already...
