I needed to upgrade my ram and i bought this: http://hw-db.com/memory/1470/kingston-hx318c10frk2-8-review

Will they work together as 16gb?

Mixing RAM is always hit or miss. It is even more unpredictable with 4 DIMMs. It might or it might not. I don't know that ANYONE can give you a definitive answer.

god damnit..should have thought about this when i bought my ram...

Mixing sets is never a good idea, even two packs of the same exact model...these can be even more difficult as the Patriot sticks are based on XMP and the Fury run off of PnP. Best to get a single set of the full amount of DRAM you want/need
