Hey guys I'm pretty new with computers, please help.

I've recently been getting 1-2 second lag spikes every 10-20 seconds while playing games. Also, my computer makes loud buzzing noises, but only while in-game. My fps seems to be fine as it hasn't changed prior to the issue I am experiencing now.

Another issue I've been having is my desktop is sometimes slow. Like if I were to open a program it would delay for about half a second then open. I think this might be related to the lag spikes that I get in-game.

I thought maybe I just needed to reformat, so I did but nothing changed. So then I tried replacing my video card with a different one, and again nothing changed. I think it could be my HDD but I haven't tried replacing it yet. Need some help, please!

What are your computer temperatures when you are gaming? The buzzing noises could be your HHD but, I don't know.

Maybe try sitting in your game and wait for it to happen again possibly locating the noise?

My temperatures are fine. I tried replacing my hard drive and I still got the spikes.

Could it be my ram? i only have 4gb of ddr3 and it's at 60-70% usage when i have my game on idol.
