I recently installed a new wifi network adapter for my laptop because my previous older one can only connect to 2.4GHz wifi.

Intel 7260 Wireless Network Adapter

However my bluetooth devices now keep disconnecting and the sound keeps cutting out on my BT headphones. I experience bad signal even a few feet away from the laptop. There might be several reasons:

1) My wireless keyboard and mouse use 2.4Ghz radio frequency and may be making the bluetooth signal worse but I doubt it because I have disconnected them and it has not improved.

2) My laptop has only 1 internal antenna instead of 2 so maybe the signal is weak. However my wifi signal is good and I have fast download speed so I am not fully sure if this is the culprit. Should install a second antenna?

3) The new network adapter is just not working properly and I should instead get a bluetooth USB adapter?
