Hello,everyone.
I bought Skyrim during the Steam Holiday sale for a cheap price.Ever since I progressed further in the game,I started to experience tons of lag when fighting in an area with numerous npcs. Some of the notable examples are frame drop rates resulting in freezing for a few seconds.I've also got a few mods installed,at around 50.There is a lack of any HD mods that replaces the landscape, only armor and weapon retextures. Is it possibly time to upgrade my specs?

Motherboard:Gigabyte Ultra Durable 3 GA-MA790X-UD4P
Processor:AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.60 GHZ black edition
Ram:4 GB
Video card:ASUS Radeon HD EAH5870 1GB (Overclocked at 1.3v)
Power supply: PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 EPS12V 750W EPS12V SLI
Screen resolution: 1980x1080
Storage:Toshiba 2.5" 750GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive. 8MB Buffer

Solution
Don't get a 7770, it won't handle it either. All those mods and especially the retextures require a lot of RAM and video memory. Get a card with at least 2GB and at least another 4 gigs of RAM.

That's the main reason of why I couldn't handle Skyrim possibly.Should I upgrade my ram to at least 6 GB as well?
