EXPERT NEEDED?? PC Help

Hi , My pc mb won't detect the hyper fury x 8gb of ram I have at all ... the same for my 1tb WD Caviar Blue Hard drive. Idk if it helps but i tried to oc my cpu but failed and reverted back to normal settings and tried to update the bios and i couldnt go back into my windows 8.1 pro and now i am stuck in the bios with no ram or hdd detected. I had a friend look at it and he said the oc was succesful in the first place but since i thought i failed and reverted it back the pc didnt make the changes and also the bios update was incomplete. I can however boot the windows 7/8 installer but it cant detect my HDD or ram. Please help

MB : L337/ECS z97 Machine Gaming
RAM: One dim of 8gb Hyper Fury X ram
GFX: R9 280
CPU: Intel pentium G3258
PSU: Corsair CX 600w

Have you tried reseating the ram? Take it out and put it back in. Also try putting it in another slot.
