Explain how the DELL Inspiron 530 is obsolete

Hi I need a new desktop right now, and am planning to do a build since this one, the Dell Inspiron 530 lags like crazy. Its slow as hell and the CPU bottlenecks some of the upgrades I installed in it as well, and drives me crazy. I added so many upgrades yet no improvement, and there is no way I can keep using this desktop based on how slow it is. Even on Windows 10, it gives me a headache when I use it, and my parents are not willing to give me the money I need to do a new build. Please, someone explain a really good lengthy and decent explanation for how this thing is obsolete/out of date/no longer worth keeping. I would appreciate it so much since I really need a new desktop (not a fan of laptops XD). Thank you

what exactly are your pc specs?

If you want some help you'll have to list your system specs. Or at least provide a link to you PC. Not every inspiron 530 is the same.
1. Hit Win+R type in dxdiag. The system tab should tell you which processor your running and how much memory you have. The Display tab should tell you the name of your graphics card.

2. If you've added new HDD or an SSD you'll have to tell us.

Intel slgq8 processor with 3mb cache
250 gb hdd
500W psu
Foxconn GM022 mobo ( can't really remember the mobo)
Windows 10 PRO 64 bit
All those upgrades yet still slow af

upgrades???? where i dont see any. if your wondering why its slow its because you are running a slow dual core cpu, with only 4 gigs of ram on a overpriced dell using integrated graphics. now to fixing the problem. first did you do a clean install of the operating system? do to task manager and tell us how much ram is used. do you game on it? what would your budget be for making it a decent computer?

I don't plan on making it a decent computer anymore, since there's not much I could add to this mobo either. I plan on making a new PC instead, just need enough evidence to show my parents that this one is worthless so I could even get the money for the parts.
Also yes I did a clean install of W10 and use it for gaming, which sucks atm

4 gigs of ram is not enough for doing much effectively anymore. your computer will begin using the page file which will be terribly slow on most disk drives.

you have a 2.8 ghz cpu with only 2 cores. that will run very few games at all. a low budget computer has a minimum of a 3+ ghz cpu with 4 threads for comparison your cpu has a passmark score of 1779 total with a 1146 single core. a low budget i3 has a score of 5000 with a 2000 single core. this will make a HUGE difference in just about everything.

you cant expect to game on old integrated graphics it just will not work. you need a dedicated graphics card minimum of about a r9 270 or gtx 750.

the psu and hdd can be reused depending on the build. you should generally have a decent psu in your build and it should be more then your computer will ever need. oem psu's are ok and 500 watts is fine for most builds. a ssd is nice to have it makes the computer run a bit faster but isnt a nesessity

K thanks and these specs like the RAM and CPU are no good anymore for everday stuff either right? Currently I have 5 tabs open in firefox and Groove Music in the background and task manager shows that there are 3.3 GB used. No good right?

Well then, seems like I might as well have gathered enough evidence to show to my parents and get the money for that PC build. Thanks so much, anything else that I can probably tell them about how it is no longer worth it? And just wondering but doesn't it make it worse that I'm also using ddr2 ram and not ddr3? no ddr2 and ddr3 run at close to the same performance. the only difference is ddr3 will be used on all newer motherboards. for ram size is more important then speed
