My pc has been having problems when it comes to gaming and having black bars on textures.

Not all games are affected like BF1,L4D2 and TF2 (both ea and valve) however games like FIFA (video attached) doom and dishonoured all have issues.

Any advice on what to do and what it actually is would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Yes maybe. Im thinking possibly a few things,

1. Windows might be corrupted or there is a program installed playing up. Try System file checker;

https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-sfc-scannow-command-fix-problems-windows-10?amp

Narrow down background running programs by disabling temporarily under startup items in Task manager.

2. Gpu may be faulty as you say. Or something running in the background, possibly Geforce Experience (if use to optimise). Maybe anything else running like 3rd party antivirus software which can incorporate gaming enhancements.

3. Motherboard chipset drivers? Try reinstall from motherboard manufacturer's website.

4. Power supply related. Thought of this earlier but the graphics card only needs...

What's your specs and what have you tried to solve your issue?

Have you tried igpu to rule out gpu?, if your specs allow?

Have you tried ddu and reinstalling graphics drivers?
CPU: I3 9100f
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1650
RAM: 2x 8GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance 2400mhz
Motherboard: ASUS H310M-A R2.0
Power Supply: Corsair 350W VS Series

Unfortunately I don’t have integrated graphics.

What is DDU?

I’m really not well experienced when it comes to computers sorry.

Search manually, input fields, gpu model, OS, and download latest Geforce driver for your graphics card.

After that,

Description on Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) here;

https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Have a read through, use it to wipe Nvidia drivers in Safe mode. After it's done and boots back into normal Windows, install the Geforce driver you downloaded.

Never use automatic driver install programs like driver booster or the likes. Only attain drivers from official product websites.

Unfortunately I did everything you just said and it still occurs. I bought canned air to maybe clean out the card as it could potentially be full of dirt and dust? If that doesn't work ill put as many fans as I have on it to see if that helps. These good ideas?

Use Hwinfo64 (sensors only) to monitor cpu & gpu temps, don't want to see anything over 85c under load. Open case side panel, see if it helps cool / get rid of artifacts on screen. If it helps then you know it's a heating issue and looking into adding more fans especially intake/ exhaust fans if your case can accommodate and don't have any currently, would probably help. What's your fan situation anyway?

Monitor temps so you know how warm your components are getting while playing games.

Depending how dusty your computer is, if it's not grossly clogged, blowing dust out won't make that much of a difference compared to not having any intake or exhaust fans, it's going to be fairly warm inside ~ too warm.

I ran a benchmark called heaven on max settings with side panel open and the texture glitch occurs very frequently. The temperature ranges from 50-57 C.

I have 1 fan but also have one for my CPU as shown in the video below.

VS series from Corsair isn't the best but is reasonably ok if one of the newer models but if it's a VS model from years ago, it could be suspect.

I ran the command prompt fix and it found errors and successfully repaired them but looking at what was damaged it was only wallpapers and the issue still occurs.

I have a 1 year warranty for parts and I got my pc 6 months ago so hopefully I can get a replacement. (are pc specialist customer service good?)

The website won't actually load if I try to go to my motherboards driver page oddly enough so that's unfortunate.

Doing some research i believe my power supply is from 2013. Are they known for being poor and not good enough?

I'm thinking ill talk to pc specialist to see if I can a replacement but if not I guess ill get another pc (built myself this time) with an updated PSU,CPU and GPU as my SSD and HDD are both good as is my RAM.

Decided to do another benchmark with heaven on extreme in windowed and although the problem is throughout it is very noticeable at the start and again at the 0:30 mark. Hopefully this could help as temperture is also displayed and it is below 50C.

Yeah does look like gpu is artifacting, but it's not heat related. Possibly psu related, more leaning towards it knowing how old the unit is, it's very well possible.

I have no experience with pc specialist, unless you mean that in general terms for a PC shop? They usually would be pretty good, maybe look them up on google reviews.

I'd consider having it checked anyway, PC service store will have the parts to troubleshoot with, ie psu.

Well unfortunately it appears they won't be sending me a replacement due to the damage being of my doing apparently.

At least I can upgrade now I guess. I think I'm gonna get a new graphics card and power supply with a good amount of watts this time from a good company. I think a 1660 super would be good graphics card wise and get can get one for £220 from currys which is a reputable pc shop over here in the UK like a micro centre in the states. However not entirely sure on power supply. I know I want a 550W and could spend at max £80. Any recommendations?

Cheers.

Looked at the list and was rather confusing but was thinking of getting a tx550m which going by the list is in the A tier?

Overall graphics card and power supply should be £310 which is a lot of money but should hopefully last me more then 6 months this time. Any changes I should make when switching my 1650 to 1660 and VS350 to a TX550M or should it fairly simple considering they are the same company?

What seller is this that wont replace something that couldn't have been damaged by you if you havent touched or done anything to the computer since youve owned it? This way they can be avoided by others in the future, they deserve at least that for not honoring their warranty. Who makes that particular gtx 1650? Maybe you could try warrantying it directly with the manufacturer.

It's PC specialist however I have added a new RAM stick to get 16 GB as it only came with one so I have done something to do the computer. I didn't think this would be a big issue as its the same model and GHZ but potentially that could be why? So maybe my fault.

PC specialist don't specifically say what model it is stating 4GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1650 - HDMI but looking at the card itself it reads zotac gaming however there is multiple models of a 1650 so hard to specify which one it is.
