Ok so my computer was working normal today around noon, then all of a sudden when I came back to it after work, when I first woke it up from sleep mode, it loaded windows way slower than normal, once it did I would log in and my back ground is black, no icons showing nor my task bar, but I can access task manager and ctrl alt del, and my performance monitor shows. If I wait about 5 min everything shows up. They only new thing I downloaded recently was ubuntu, from their site and that was last night. Though I was ignoring a windows up date so I'm not sure if that update while I was gone at work, or if it did it previous to my lunch break. I can not access my windows button (even pressing it on my keyboard nothing pops up), I press the folder icon on my task bar and that's when I get the explorer, exe no such interface support error. If I try running chrome and some other programs I get the 0xc000012f error, then I tried running spotify acted as if it is not installed. I have already tried doing a system repair through windows 10 setup on my USB did not work, tried doing a system restore, but that failed as well. I feel like my only option is too reformat my SSD and do a clean install of w10, but if anyone has something where I don't have to do that, that would be great. It's not too big of a deal if I have to reinstall, just only annoyance is I have to redownload my games, I'll lose nothing important.

Solution
clean install probably safest, if you could use desktop then maybe we could remove the update that has caused the problem, but no way into that without a working desktop
