I have Explorer 6.0.2800. With some URLs I type in the URL and I am
automatically directed to another site, and the new sires URL is shown in
the address space on Explorer.

Anyone got any idea how I can stop this. I assume some cookie or something
is about.

your brower has been hyjacked? Try Ad-aware (www.lavasoftusa.com)

And Spybot. Make sure you update both of them with the latest. Run Spybot,
then Ad-Aware, and delete everything that each one identifies as a problem...

Per the other replies, i`ve got some setup tips for Spybot S&D as well as
some pointers to other useful (free) anti-spyware apps here:

www.phoenixbbs.co.uk

There`s one called CoolWebSearch that`s a b*stard to get rid of - neither
Spybot S&D or Adaware can do it yet afaik, and i`ve got a link to a
killer for that too.

Ben:

I use both too. Does it matter what order I run them in?
