[SOLVED] EXT4 or BTRFS for Synology NAS?

So I just purchased a Synology DS218+ NAS (2-bay) and I see it supports EXT4 and BTRFS. Basically I'm going to be using a Windows computer most of the time, but may use an Apple and Android devices, and a LInux machine in the future (all of which will not any older than 5 years old, so more recent hardware).

Which is the better file system to use that is compatible with most devices (trying to think ahead in case I go back to using an Apple Mac for photo editing for example).

Suggestions?

I would use BTRFS as it features protection against bitrot. The filesystem itself doesnt matter for client devices connecting to it(mac, windows, andoid etc)

I agree BTRFS is the superior filesystem , EXT4 wasn't much of an improvement over EXT3.

OK. I'll go that route. I was mainly concerned about compatibility between systems but it looks like it won't matter either way.
