Extend displayport over ethernet

Hi,

I would like my PC in a different room to my monitor and was wondering if it is possible to extend displayport technology at 2k (and g-sync) over Ethernet, or any other means? Looking online it seems to suggest the max distance displayport can reach at 2k is around 5m.

No. You can't do that over ethernet cable.

I had a feeling that may be the answer.

Running a ROG Swift at 2560 x 1440.

Can you think of any other way to run the PC and monitor in different rooms?

As the ROG Swift does not have a HDMI In connection, what would the best way to connect and still be able to use the g-sync technology? Could i use HDMI out of the PC then convert to Displayport?
