My C drive space was huge while D and E were small.I did not like to put my all data on my C drive. So using disk manager,I extended my D drive space by taking space from C drive(shrinking C drive).I had data on both D and C drives. Now my question is that when i reinstall my windows 7,what will happen to the taken space of C drive. Will i lost some data or nothing will happen and D drive will remain extended.Plzzzzzzz Tell.I am waiting for someone's answer

When you re-install Windows, you will first need to format the C partition so that it's empty, then re-install Windows on to that empty (unallocated) space.

That means all your data will be wiped off the C partition, so you'll need to back up anything you don't want to lose.

Any other existing partitions will not be affected, but even so you should still keep backups of any important data regardless of which partition it's on, that's because all hard drives fail sooner or later.

If you reinstall Windows on the C: partition, all data on the D: and E: partition will remain untouched. The data on the C: partition will be erased. You will be deleting the registry by reinstalling Windows so all of your programs installed under D: and E: will need to be reinstalled in order for Windows to be able to run them again.
