[SOLVED] Extended Display Problems

Computer - 2010 iMac
GPU - AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5800 Series
2nd Monitor - Acer SB220Q
Displayport - VGI to Mini displayport
OS - Windows 10 Bootcamp

Currently, When I try to extend my mac display to my 2nd monitor, my mac is on the resolution 2560 x 1440 and my monitor is stuck on 640 x 480 resolution and can't be changed. However, when i change it to duplicate displays, it is on 1920x1080. I would like to extend my monitors so my 2nd monitor is on 1920x1080 and my mac is on 2560x1440. Beforehand it had worked however it suddenly is stuck on the 640x480 resolution on my 2nd monitor. Any solutions?

Sounds like a software update broke something or the cable went bad.

VGA does that sometimes. you can go into display adaptor settings and enable all modes, that'll allow you to set any resolution you'd like.
