Hi I have a router on the second floor of the house and have a streaming box at the ground floor. The streaming device only accepts LAN cable (wireless is not supported). Is there a way I can setup another router next to my streaming box which accepts wireless signal (and internet off course) from my first router and then I can connect the second router with streaming box via LAN cable ?

Thanks

You want a "wireless bridge" capability. A router with alternate firmware (DD-WRT, Tomato) can provide that capability or they sell dedicated devices, sometimes called "gaming adapters" because of game consoles not having WIFI capabilities.

Some off the shelf routers have bridging functions built in. Asus is one brand that supports this, at least on some models. Check the specs on a models compatible with your router (N vs AC etc.) and in your price range. Bridges almost always work better than built in wifi on gaming consoles, TVs & etc. because they can be positioned for better signal reception.

That would work. As @g90814 recommended, powerline networking can many times be more reliable than wireless.
