Extender Riser Cable RTS 2080

I got my MSI TRIO RTX 2080 weeks ago. I started to use my PCIE Extender Riser Cable as the card mounted against the glass wall. Couple days, running solid without issue. After a week or so, the issue started. Monitor went black randomly with GPU FAN noisy. I thought it might be the faulty GPU card, when I re-attached it to the motherboard, the issue didnot occur anymore. My case is DEEPCOOL, I am using its Extender Riser Cable. Anyone has the same in the past? Any suggestions? Thanks.

You mean when you removed the riser and connected the GPU to the motherboard directly it worked?
If that's the case then the issue is the riser.
