Hi Guys,

My home is a bit unique. The ISP FTTH connection terminates on a Huawei GPON ont modem with 4Fe ports. This is located at the basement.

Being in the basement wifi doesn’t work but luckily i have cat6 cable running to every room of the house from the basement.

I am a bit confused on how to efficiently extend this network to my home, and get wired access to my desktops (2) and wireless to everything else.

Appreciate your help!!

If this device is actually a router...if it has wifi it is a router....you can just plug your cables into the 4 ports. I hope they are really gigabit and not Fast ethernet.

Then you can place wireless AP or routers running as AP in any room you need wifi. You of course do not have to put wifi in every room since it likely will cover more but you if you want to.
