[SOLVED] Extensions stopped in Firefox v66.0.3

Just happened to me, Firefox (v66.0.3) dropped support for legacy extensions. Hope both Ublock Origin and Ghostery get around to updating their extensions to be compatible.

Oh right. Suppose it's when Firefox gets around to checking extensions? Let me know if ghostery still works later.

It's a glitch. For anyone else having problems. A fix is being worked on.

Running 66.0.3 since day one of its release and not a single issue here.

ublock origin, lastpass, duckduckgo all quit on me this morning.

from what i read, it's expired certificates causing the issue. the FF devs forgot to update them and now they are scrambling to fix them.

hopefully will be done sometime today. even though they are disabled i do seem to be getting the benefit of ublock anyway. the ads and elements i have blocked are still blocked which is kinda odd

seems the fix for the issue was pushed through something called "studies". i had it disabled so never got the updates.

enabled it and it did whatever studies do and it's all good again.

so if you are having issues check that setting and see if studies are disabled.

The temp patch is already out. All of my copies of Firefox are patched. Just ensure that "Studies" is enabled.

I went to enable studies on my other comp which isn't used all that much, has the latest FF version. Studies was already ticked to my amazement and have never messed with this setting on either PC so im thinking whatever happened FF would eventually disable it itself.
