Question External blu-ray player not recognized

I'm a little concerned because it's not even showing that it's plugged in. I've tried it on two laptops and it won't show for either of them either. I'm on Windows 10 on my desktop and one of the laptops but the other laptop is Windows 8.

I've tried all the USB ports on the front and back, no luck. Is there anything else I can do or do I just need to assume it's broken? Was $80 so I'd like to avoid buying another...

Device Manager:

Check the View tab. Is "Show hidden devices" checked?

Make and model Blu-ray drive?

Source/seller?

Do you have another known working USB connection cable to use?

Drivers? Were you able to go to the manufacturer's website to download, install, and configure the applicable drivers?
