External bluray optical drive.

I'm going down mini itx route. I'm doing this so I can get a small case to fit in my room better as a gaming and media center. The only problem is Most mini itx cases don't come with and optical drive bay which I want to watch my bluray DVD collection. I want to get the fractal design define nano s but it doesn't come with an optical drive bay.My option is to go towards an external bluray optical drive for windows 10. Is there any difference between sata and USB connections like speed? Are USB 3 external optical drives faster than USB 2 ones? Would I be better going for a USB 3 one or would USB 2 be ok? Any recommendations for an external bluray optical drive. I like the look of the Samsung and pioneer ones.

They will still run smoothly regardless of USB choice.

I think you can buy cases that have side slots on the side. For slim burners

It won't make a difference I'm using an external right now to do the same thing.
