This is my motherboard: LINK. I don't have a power on button like this motherboard: LINK. What do I do?

I have two other motherboard questions as well.

1. What is the big square on this motherboard that says MSI on it?

2. Where exactly can I touch to handle the motherboard? Is it safe for me to place it upside down to install the CPU cooler brackets?

Solution
if you want to boot the mb you connect the 24 and 4/8 pin power from the power supply. on the mb case header pins look for the two in the mb guild that say power switch. the easy way is put a jumper on the pins and then turn the power supply on or off or short the two pins with a screw driver. hold the mb by the edge dont flex it. the msi logo for heat sink for under the mb chipset or vrm (voltage regulators). you can flip the mb over make sure you dont drop it or slide a screw driver over the cpu slot and rip something off.
1) There are pin headers to attach the power button to from the case. The second motherboard has it there just as a convience. 99% of boards do NOT have an power button like that

2) its a heat sink to cool down the south bridge

3) you can pretty much touch any piece as long as you are not staticaly charged. Touch some metal somewhere else or wear a grounding bracelet. Just don't break anything off while handling it.

Hi, If you don't have power button I don't think its possible. But you can find one on Ebay cheap or contact the motherboard manufacturer.

Other Questions:
1) "MSI" stands for the motherboard manufacturer. Depending on where it is depends on what it is. In other words it could be multiple things.

2) You should watch YouTube videos to learn more since they actually show you and tell you everything you need to know I recommend Carey Holzman. Look him up and you should be set! Also if the motherboard is brand new you should be working on the box. When working directly on the box it shouldn't break anything when applying force. As far as what you can touch is simple CPU heatsink and edges, etc (the videos will tell you that stuff.)

*Note* Not to be rude but these are basic questions so maybe you shouldn't be doing hands on work just yet. But kudos for trying. Good Luck! If you have any other questions just reply back!
