External Drive and installing....

So i'm trying to play the wildstar beta. I had my brother install and update it. he has put it on an external hard drive for me and I have put it on my computer. Why does it still try to either update or download the full game? I know the version is up to date because I watched him play it and then transfer. What am I missing here?

You have to install it on your own computer's internal hard drive.
