This after formatting my laptop to have a fresh and clean install of Windows 10 Pro with the creators update (Aswell debotting windows which has nothing affecting the drives like this).
I connect my External drive and i cannot seem to eject it safely.
There is no Eject button when i right click the drive (Windows views it as an external drive).
And using the the windows Eject system in the system tray gives me the error saying its being used, even after i just restarted.
I checked further and installed a third party Ejecter and it found 2 programs using it.

Please help this is driving me nuts and i cant seem to find the answer.

Solution
Okay i found the problem.

I went into "Disk Management" and checked the drives property. In the "Policies" Tab it was set to "Quick Removal" thats set to default, i have switched it to "Better Performance" and now i can eject it safely.

Hope this helps others who have or had the same problem as me.
