Question External drive no power connection

In a recent storm my power turned off and on. My computer and usb external hard drive were both powered on and running when this surge occured. What are some options.

is everything working? have you tried turning them on? what is the current situation?
if neither will work the PSU may have taken the grenade so to speak. if this is the case you will need at least another PSU to test the remaining components of the system and verify that they still work. what is the current situation? what are your specs and what is the PSU make and model

Is the drive powered from the USB port or from an AC adapter?

Any LEDs?

Any sounds?

Model number?
