Question External Drive Not Responding After Bit Locker

Hello,

I encrypted a external drive with Bit Locker. The process was smooth and I have the encryption code but now my external hard drive is not responding now.

I plug it into the laptop and it shows up as D Drive but I can't access it. When clicking on it, the mouse icon just keeps spinning. I would love to de-crypt it so i can access my files....any ideas?

The external drive a is toshiba 1tb drive...

Was the drive encrypted with the same laptop you are connecting it to? (Bitlocker requires use of Win 8/10 Pro OS)

Yes, it is the same laptop.
