i need to get a external dvd burner cause my new tower dont have one. my question is it does my computer already have to have a dvdrw drive on it or does the cd that comes with it install the dvdrw on the computer?

I don't completely understand your question. If what you are asking for is an external dvdrw drive, you can get one like this for under $20 (maybe under $15 if you look hard enough) on Amazon.

What CD are you talking about? Is it a driver CD, a Windows Install CD?

dude ... a CD that comes with any of ur computer part does not install and DVD drive ok. u asked a total bullshit.
now what you have to do is buy and internal or external (good for you) DVD drive... and plug it in any USB port ..
