I have this very cheap dvd recorder:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lite-IHAS122-14FU-22X12X8X-22X12X6X-48X24X48X/dp/B00GLO3JUM

just took off from an old case.

As it is still working, I would like to use it as external dvd player to connect to laptop, desktop, etc.

Does it exist any "enclosure" for it available? It has SATA power.

I know that I could just buy a new external player (for very cheap prices), but I would like to know if there is any external case like that as I couldn't find any item like that.

I didn't use an adapter. My SATA data cable is long enough to reach from my MoBo to my ODD that i set sitting either on top of the case or besides it. PSU's SATA power cable is even longer than SATA data cable and there are no issues with it either.

Under the spoiler is an image when i breadboarded my Skylake build (click on spoiler to view it). On that image, my MoBo is next to my case while my PSU and SSD (blue SATA cable) are inside the PC case. I linked it to give you an idea that you can route the cables outside of the case just fine.
