my gateway nv59 notebook/laptop is mediocre for gaming, i barely maintain 30-50fps on CS:GO and populated garry's mod servers (1gb vram 5650 mobility radeon gpu, 4gb ram, i3 370m core). i was wondering if applying an external gpu through the usage of a PCI adapter (http://www.banggood.com/EXP-GDC-Laptop-External-PCI-E-Graphics-Card-Mini-PCI-E-Set-p-934367.html) would help me at all. scraping over $600+ for a brand new computer set is not an option. can the nv59 motherboard even support something like this? if this is an option, i have my eyes set on the radeon r9 270X gpu. is this all possible, or am i wasting my time here? i realize this isn't conventional, but i'm kind of desperate :/
