External GPU suggestions

I have an all in one pc and need a new graphics card to run other things game wise. so obviously i need an external GPU and i can t sell this rig and get something else my parents would kill me. Any suggestions needs to be under $400.

That's not an external GPU. You're not going to find an external GPU that can handle gaming without it being an incredibly messy and unreliable kludge.

What's the model number of your pc? You might not be able to do anything without the right connections.

Hay since its an all in one do you have any suggestions to a grapgics card that i can do anyting with like can i even get better graphics. if so what are some suggestions.

Google didn't come up with anything for that. I'm guessing that's not the model number. If you go to computer properties, it may say it there. Could also try dxdiag.

You're not going to attach an external GPU that will do you any good for gaming on an HP Envy All-in-One. There are display adapters that plug into USB 3.0, but they don't do anything beyond give you access to a second monitor.

The only 'solution' I know is a messy, unreliable kludge that will deprive you of your wireless adapter, and it's not even guaranteed to work, or to not harm your system.

Ya the only thing you can do is a diy solution that uses your mpcie but you don't lose wifi, the mobo has 2 slots. You will need to keep the back off and use an external monitor. You'll need a psu, adapter and gpu so is that $400 for all of it?
