External graphics card mbp mid 2012

Hi guys wondering if you can help I'm looking to get a external gpu for my MacBook but the videos I've seen have not given much clarity. I'm not looking to run games like the witcher 3 ect as I have consoles for that purpose just more to play mmo games on high res. Can anyone recommend the cheapest attachment I can fit in with a thunderbolt 2 port and the a mid range graphics card that will be supported with it

Contact the external GPU vendors and see if their products will work with a MAC. I don't think I've seen one specifically that said "works with MAC" just for laptops with an Expresscard slot or a mini PCIe slot.
