I bought the GCS62 thinking I could also transfer data, but now I realize I cant. Then since I wanted to put a higher capacity hard disk for my laptop.

I removed the hard disk of my compac HP laptop and put new one with higher capacity. Made the old hard disk 80gb into an external one. Now when I am trying to connect it to my old PC (from which I needed to transfer data to the new one) it is not recognizing it. The red light appears on the hard disk but no luck. I tried thru devise manager ect but no luck. However the new PC (acer) recognizes it. Please help

Your old PC may not be outputting enough power to the USB ports to power the drive. Get a dual-head USB adapater cable http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&q=usb+power+cable&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=5175227973842904156&ei=e9EYTfPcEILGlQeZo6nnCw&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=image&resnum=4&ved=0CEcQ8gIwAw# , or plug the external enclusure into a power outlet.
