Hi, so I bought a 1TB SAMSUNG external hard drive and plugged it into my computer. When it's plugged it and the computer is already running Windows 10, it works wonders. When I start the computer up with the hard drive plugged in however, I get the error:

"BOOTMGR is missing Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart"
Ctrl+Alt+Del doesn't do anything by the way. I get the same message until I unplug the hard drive and then it runs Windows.

Any help?

Hey there, thewonderspud.

I'd recommend that you reformat the external HDD and try it with a different USB cable and a different computer (if possible), to see if the same thing happens. Don't forget to backup any data which you might have on it, before you reformat it. You should also download the external HDD manufacturer's diagnostics tool (or a 3rd party diagnostics tool if the manufacturer doesn't offer one) and test the drive to see what's the situation with it. On the other hand if the external drive doesn't seem to be the problem, you could take a look at this tutorial on how to deal with the error you're getting: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2622803

Hope that helps. Please let me know how everything goes.
