Question External hard drive not recognizing.

So I got this new 4tb Seagate Expansion Hard Drive and it is not being recognized my systems. I've tried on the 3 ports in my Xbox and the 2 on my laptop, it doesn't do any noises or pop-us on either of them. The light indicator also just flashes. I've tried the device manager with no luck. Please help.

You did plug this drive' power supply, didn't you?
Do you see the drive in Disk Administrator?

Yes I did plug in the power source and the drive was not showing up in the Device admin.

I would try to get the drive exchanged if you just bought it - - - - even new products can be faulty sometimes (especially Seagate externals, I've had nothing but bad experiences with that brand).
